OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Transport wants to prohibit the use of photo effects when photographing vehicle inspection. The corresponding draft order has been published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

The first photo must be taken before the start of the inspection. It should show the front and side of the car and the technical expert who diagnoses the car.

The second photo is taken at the end of the MOT, it should show the back of the car and the other side.

It is forbidden to edit the photo, including changing the date, time and coordinates of the photographing place.

The tightening is associated with an increase in cases of falsification of photographs. Since March 1, more than 1.4 thousand cases of administrative offenses have already been initiated, more than 590 diagnostic cards issued with violations have been canceled.

Meanwhile, the Russian government is discussing the abolition of technical inspection. And even some indulgences have been introduced. So, from August 22, car owners may not provide a document on the passage of a technical inspection for the purchase of an OSAGO policy.

Although the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy spoke out against the abolition of mandatory technical inspection for passenger cars. According to Kommersant, a plan for reforming the vehicle inspection system has been sent to the government for consideration by the senators, which will not only preserve but also tighten the existing rules.
