OREANDA-NEWSAn interdepartmental commission under the government of Kazakhstan has taken a number of additional protective measures to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus in the republic. As the press service of the government of the republic reported on Wednesday, it was decided to suspend the issuance of visas to citizens of the PRC and to suspend regular air traffic between the countries on February 3.

"The Interdepartmental Commission under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a number of additional protective measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan: passenger bus services between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the PRC were suspended from January 29, 2020; passenger trains on the routes between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the route were suspended on February 1, 2020 PRC; from February 3, 2020, regular air traffic between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the PRC is suspended; the issuance of citizen visas is suspended m China", follows from the message.

Earlier it was reported that all employees of the train crews were fully equipped with medical masks and were strictly warned of the need to wear them, tightened control over the transport of hand luggage and baggage by rail between Kazakhstan and China.
