The construction of the first complex began in June. This was announced to the Russian media on Monday by the commercial development manager of the regional office of the Maersk Line in Eastern Europe, Andrei Naraevsky.

"The area that we have on the territory of the industrial park" PNK Park Sofiyskaya KAD "allows you to build two production and warehouse complexes of the same capacity - about 23 thousand tons each. The construction of the first complex began in June and will be completed in March 2020. If successful the filling of the first warehouse, commissioning of the second will take place in the second half of 2021. The total investment is estimated at about $ 60 million", he said.

The construction of the first production and warehouse complex in the PNK Park Sofiyskaya KAD industrial park in the south of St. Petersburg is being handled by the Russian industrial property developer PNK Group. The object will consist of zones with the maintenance of different temperature conditions, a deep-freeze chamber, as well as two three-story administrative and office premises.

Maersk is the world's largest operator of container ships and supply vessels. The conglomerate is also engaged in oil exploration and production, energy transportation and logistics. According to the data, today Maersk accounts for 25% of import and export. The company plans to further expand its presence in the transportation market. In addition, Maersk owns a 30% stake in Global Ports.
