Production of Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail with Autopilot Started in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. The Nissan automobile plant in St. Petersburg has begun production of the Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail crossovers with ProPilot autonomous driving and new features from Nissan Connect Services.
The new ProPilot system is capable of accelerating and braking on the motorway, maintaining the required speed and a safe distance from the vehicle in front, stopping in a traffic jam and smoothly starting after the vehicle in front starts moving, as well as keeping the center of the lane. This was reported by the press service of Nissan.
In addition, an interactive communication with the car has appeared through the mobile application Nissan Connect Services, which is a set of services, thanks to which it is possible to receive information about the use of the car. Also, with the help of this application, you can remotely control many car functions and track them. You can start the engine or track the location of the car.
According to "Autostat" data, in January and February of this year, Russian dealers of Nissan sold 8,022 cars, which is 25% lower than last year's figures for the same period. Due to such a decrease in performance, Nissan was in eighth place in terms of sales in the rating of all automakers in the Russian Federation. The market share of the company, according to the AEB, was 3.7%, while last year it was 4.9%.
The most popular Nissan model in the first two months of 2021 was the Nissan Qashqai. Nissan X-Trail took the second place in sales in Russia.
