OREANDA-NEWS. According to Zarina Doguzova, the head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, the constant and systematic operation of the tourist program with a partial refund will certainly help reduce the cost of air travel in Russia.

The expert proposes to make permanent the new tourist subsidy program with cashback, because, in her opinion, this will help to optimally adjust the cost of air travel.

In addition, she proposes to introduce more charter flights. In her opinion, charter flights in an integrated tour package decrease the price of air tickets and it is planned to use this to develop and popularize tourism in the Far East of Russia.

These plans are already being put into effect step by step. According to Dolguzova, Rostourism, together with some tour operators, is planning to launch charter flights to the Far East for the New Year holidays. In their opinion, this will increase the demand for flights in this direction of home travel, because this will optimize the price of air tickets, and decrease them by 1.5-2 times.

Although the Russian authorities, represented by Andrei Belousov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, claim that Russian airlines are going through the period of pandemic without any big losses, in October the Russian air companies asked the government for help again, because it wasn't for the first time during the pandemic. According to the head of Aeroflot, Vitaly Savelyev, the volume of the Russian aviation market this year has suffered significantly - statistica says it decreased from 128 million to 60 million. The general director of the airline announced these numbers on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.

Andrey Belousov said that airlines manage to retain their staff without resorting to layoffs or bankruptcy. The government of the Russian Federation is giving certain financial support to Russian aviation companies during this difficult period. It is reported that 200 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes.
