OREANDA-NEWSMoscow and Belgrade plan in the summer, when a new government will be formed in Serbia, to return to discussing the supply of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft for the Serbian leadership and the national airline Air Serbiya, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov told reporters on Thursday.

“We will return to this issue on a practical plane this summer”, Borisov said following the 18th meeting of the Russian-Serbian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation. "Now we take into account that a new political cycle is beginning in Serbia - elections are scheduled for April, then another two months will be spent on the formation of a new government", he explained.

Nevertheless, the parties agreed to continue work on this issue, the Deputy Prime Minister said. "Today we agreed that the problem of purchasing a Superjet aircraft for the leadership of Serbia and eight aircraft - most likely, under a leasing scheme - for the main carrier of Serbia is not removed", he said.
