OREANDA-NEWSHealth Minister Veronika Skvortsova appealed to the government to purchase for the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA), which reports to the Ministry of Health, a French Falcon 7X aircraft.  Now FMBA has no planes, and only one plane is planned for purchase. It's necessary for the agency to carry out sanitary-aviation evacuation, it follows from the document in which the minister justifies why the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet is preferable to the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The interlocutor of the Russian media, close to the Ministry of Health, explained that FMBA experts chose the option based on market analysis, the most suitable technical specifications for air ambulance.

“The analysis of the flight performance of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and Falcon aircraft indicates that the latest model has a number of advantages in flight range, avionics life and other flight characteristics. Special attention should be paid to the possibility of using this type of aircraft in the implementation of long-haul flights at high echelons to distant points of the Russian Federation”, Skvortsova points out. These advantages, she pointed out, are particularly relevant for the implementation of non-stop medical and sanitary evacuation to Moscow and St. Petersburg from the Far East regions, from closed areas with “physical, chemical and biological factors dangerous to human health” and objects of particular importance, for example, from spaceports East and Baikonur.

Another advantage of the Falcon, allocated Skvortsova, - a small run-up before takeoff, which allows its use on ultrashort runways. In addition, the French plane is cheaper. In the case of delivery by the fourth quarter of 2020, it, along with two medical modules with equipment, will cost the state 4.166 billion rubles, and the SSJ100 will cost 5.425 billion rubles, the minister said. In 2014, the Emergencies Ministry bought two SSJ100 at a price of 1.933 billion and 1.97 billion rubles, follows from these public procurement.
