OREANDA-NEWSSpanish railway operator Renfe decided to launch low-cost high-speed trains from April 6 next year. The low-coster, as told in Renfe, was called AVLO. Initially, he will walk on the route Madrid - Zaragoza - Barcelona. In the future, it is planned to expand the number of destinations. Travel costs on AVLO will be approximately 40% lower than on conventional high-speed trains. It is expected that it will be from € 10 to € 60. Passengers under the age of 14 are promised a fare of just € 5.

Renfe noted that the new trains will be 20% more capacious than conventional high-speed trains, but they will not have either a first class or a restaurant car. Instead, special machines will be installed in the cars, in which it will be possible to purchase drinks and snacks. In addition, budget trains will not be equipped with Wi-Fi.

The rail operator also warned that travelers would be charged extra for certain services. Among them is the transportation of a second suitcase. The company has not yet decided on the size of such surcharges. Renfe is expected to increase the price of tickets for all of its trains by approximately 1% in 2020.
