OREANDA-NEWS. The Central Bank proposed to calculate the cost of repairs under OSAGO, taking into account the prices of analogues of original spare parts. The project of changing the procedure for calculating the cost is published on the website of the Central Bank.

Thanks to the use of analogue prices, the victim in an accident will be able to receive money and repair the car with not original, but new parts, the Central Bank said.

The proposals were developed in connection with the difficulties in supplying original spare parts and the high uncertainty of their prices, the explanatory note says. The document also corrected labor intensity indicators for body repair work. Discussions of the draft Central Bank will last until April 28, 2022.

“The payment under OSAGO will be considered in this way in relation to vehicles of manufacturers from unfriendly states. For cars of manufacturers from countries that have not imposed sanctions against Russia, the cost of repairs will continue to be calculated taking into account the prices of original spare parts, and if they are not available on the market, based on the prices of analogues,” the Central Bank said.

Earlier it became known how the price of the OSAGO policy rose in 2022.
