OREANDA-NEWS. Four Russians injured in an accident with a bus in Turkey have been operated on, they are in serious condition, the Russian Consulate General told RIA Novosti.

The day before, the Russian Consulate General in Antalya told RIA Novosti that three Russians were killed and five were seriously injured in an accident in the Side region. According to the police, the bus driver lost control, the vehicle crossed the dividing line and, jumping into the oncoming lane, turned over.

"According to the situation at 10.00 (Moscow time) on August 3, all Russian citizens injured in an accident in Manavgat, Antalya province, continue to be monitored by doctors in local hospitals. Four patients remain in serious condition. They were operated on and placed in an intensive care unit. the severity of the injuries is undergoing additional research. Their lives, according to the assurance of medical specialists, are not in danger, "the source said.

He added that, depending on the medical indications during the current day, a separate decision on discharge, outpatient treatment or further hospitalization will be made for each case.

"The consulate general staff visited the victims in hospitals, met with the attending physicians in order to clarify the prognosis for treatment and the timing of the recovery of patients. During the meetings with law enforcement agencies, additional information was requested on the circumstances and causes of the accident," the Russian diplomat said.

According to him, the consulate general, in cooperation with the local authorities, the insurance company and the funeral service, is preparing documents for the repatriation of the bodies of the dead to their homeland.
