OREANDA-NEWS. The development of the superheavy rocket «Yenisei», which was created for the lunar program, has been suspended. This was announced by the head of the Rocket and Space Center «Progress» Dmitry Baranov.

«It is possible to correct its appearance. Now this issue is not yet fully resolved, so now the development is put on pause. We are ready to continue working after the relevant decision is made. I think it's a matter of a few months, I would say, until the middle of this year», Baranov told reporters.

Earlier it was reported, that the space Council ran after the report of the General Director of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin recommended to postpone the creation intended for missions to the moon rocket heavy class indefinitely. As mentioned in the document, after Rogozin's reports and seminconductor on the General design of AO «NPO Lavochkin» Ivan Muscatinev the Council recommended, that the management of wounds and Roscosmos «to appeal to the President with a proposal to adjust the state space of the 2030 agenda» in terms of postponing the creation of a space rocket complex heavy class at a later date.

Previously, it was planned to use a superheavy-class carrier rocket «Yenisei» for these purposes, for which it is planned to build a separate launch complex at the Vostochny cosmodrome.
