OREANDA-NEWS. Dennis A. Muilenburg, the Chief Executive Officer of Boeing company, is leaving his post.

According to the corporation’s website, temporarily, the Chief Financial Officer Greg Smith will serve as interim CEO, and from January 13, 2020, David L. Calhoun, who now heads the company’s board, will become Boeing’s Chief Executive Officer.

The Board of Directors decided that management changes are necessary “to restore confidence in the Company moving forward as it works to repair relationships with regulators, customers, and all other stakeholders”, as it follows from a statement by Boeing.

“I strongly believe in the future of Boeing and the 737 MAX. I am honored to lead this great company and the 150,000 dedicated employees who are working hard to create the future of aviation,” Calhoun stated. These words are also cited in company’s massage.
