The Prosecutor's Office Began Checking Due to Flight Delays in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the press service of the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office, the department began an audit in connection with the cancellation and delay of a number of flights at the airports of the Moscow air hub.
The published message says that "the Moscow interregional transport prosecutor's office organized an inspection in connection with the cancellations and delays of a number of flights at the airports of the Moscow air hub during the period from December 30 to December 31 this year."
The Moscow prosecutor's office for overseeing the implementation of laws on air and water transport has been entrusted with carrying out the corresponding inspection, and the acting prosecutor Evgeny Kotelenets is at the Domodedovo international airport in order to control the situation.
During the inspection, the prosecutor's office will establish the reasons for the delay and cancellation of flights, while observing the rights of passengers and providing them with appropriate services while waiting for flights, and will also assess the airlines' compliance with licensing legislation.
In case of violations, exhaustive measures of the prosecutor's response will be taken. The progress of the check is monitored by the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office.
