OREANDA-NEWS. A decrease in the cost of cars is now unlikely, so it is better to hurry up with the purchase of a new car. Oleg Moseev, a member of the board of directors of the Okami group of companies, said this in an interview with URA.RU.

According to him, this situation has arisen due to the shortage of some models.

He explained that "there will still be problems with the supply of cars of certain models and configurations, so if you need a car now, you need to buy it."

The same opinion is shared by the Russian Automobile Dealers Association, where they emphasized that due to the long-term shortage of models, buyers have become less likely to receive discounts when buying a car, and the number of loans, on the contrary, has increased.

Association President Vladimir Mozhenkov explained that the price of all cars began to grow, and people understand that this will continue.

The organization also noted that manufacturers continue to raise prices.

Earlier, Russian dealers warned of a 2-7% rise in prices for new cars in the second quarter of 2021.

According to a survey conducted by Rosgosstrakh Bank, more than half of Russian car owners - 57% - bought a car with their own funds, a little more than a quarter of 27% - on credit, while the most popular among Russians are sedans.
