OREANDA-NEWS  The state traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of internal Affairs and the Russian Union of motor insurers are working on technical capabilities to combine information bases to launch a system for checking the insurance policy with the help of cameras. According the press center of the Interior Ministry, this work will be introduced after the technical readiness of information systems.

"Currently, the traffic police of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia jointly with the Russian Union of insurers considering the technical possibility to commit violations related to the breach of the duty of owners of vehicles insurance of civil liability, by automatic complexes of photo and video recording. In particular, the necessary preparatory technical work is underway to synchronize the information systems of the state traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia and the Russian Union of motor insurers," the source said.

According to this information, at present, the inspection of insurance policies with the help of cameras is not yet carried out.

It should be noted that there are more than 1.4 thousand cameras in Moscow, each of them records up to 40 thousand car passes per day. Thus, only for the maintenance of the system for checking insurance policies will need to make 56 million daily calls to the database.

"Until the completion of these works, law enforcement activities in the automatic mode for this composition of the administrative offense is not carried out, and will be started as technical readiness of information systems", - concluded in the Department.

Previously, the was reported by nation media that the Ministry of internal Affairs and the Russian Union of motor insurers are unable to fulfill the order of the government until 1 February this year to combine the information of the database to run the system check the availability of insurers with the help of cameras.
