Earlier, the American News Agency reported that the plane crashed after taking off at Tehran's airport. The plane was heading from the airport named after Imam Khomeini to Kiev. 22 cars and two ambulance buses were sent to the crash site. Ukraine International Airlines cannot confirm the fact that their plane crashed.

As Jaafar Zadeh, the representative of the country's minaviation, said earlier, there were 167 passengers on the plane. An Iranian television station reported that there were at least 170 people on board.
