OREANDA-NEWS. Aichi Institute of Technology of the Nagoya Electrical Educational Foundation and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. are proud to announce that today they concluded a cooperation agreement on an affiliated graduate school.

Based on this agreement, from the next fiscal year, researchers of Chubu Electric Power’s Research & Development Division will serve as guest instructors for AIT and give lectures/hold seminars at the AIT Graduate School of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering).

AIT graduate students will partially join research efforts that guest instructors are undertaking either at AIT or at Chubu Electric Power, and receive guidance on the students’ own research projects.

With these undertakings, AIT and Chubu Electric Power aim to enhance education and research efforts of AIT’s Graduate School of Engineering, while continuously producing human resources who are highly skilled in electrical engineering. The two organizations in turn seek to largely contribute to the mutual development of AIT and industry/electricity-related businesses such as Chubu Electric Power, and moreover, to the further development of electric engineering as an academic field.

AIT’s affiliated graduate school is a system for cooperating with partners to enhance research and education in the graduate school, thereby contributing to AIT and concerned partners’ mutual development.

AIT previously went into an agreement to cooperate with Toyota Central R&D Labs., Inc. and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. In addition to guest instructors invited from partners giving lectures at the graduate school, graduate students can engage in research activities at the partner’s institutions.
