OREANDA-NEWS Twenty Hungarian police officers set off on Tuesday to help protect the Serbian-Bulgarian border, the Police website announced.
According to the statement, the contingent will be deployed in the Balkans until 6 December.

The Hungarian police officers will be working together with their Serbian colleagues to patrol the border and apprehend people smugglers and illegal immigrants who enter the territory of Serbia.

The officers will not only be on duty along the border, but also on main and secondary roads within the territory of Serbia.

The Hungarian contingent will be supporting the defence of the border with off-road vehicles, a supply vehicle and police cars equipped with heat-sensitive cameras.

The latest contingent means there are now a total of 45 Hungarian police officers performing border protection duties along the Balkan migration route, the statement reads.
