OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Pavel Filip met the head of the Swiss Cooperation Office (SCO) in Moldova, Simone Giger, today, in the context of developing a new framework for cooperation between the Governments of Switzerland and Moldova for the following five years.

During the talks, the officials exchanged views on the reforms initiated by the cabinet in Chisinau, drawing new perspectives for cooperation in order to increase their dynamism.

The PM thanked the Swiss partners for their contribution to the socio-economic development of Moldova, emphasizing valuable assistance in various fields such as infrastructure, migration, modernization of health services. In this context, Pavel Filip expressed the opening of the Government for the elaboration of the new cooperation strategy for 2018-2021, underlining the importance of the support of SCO in the successful implementation of the Reform Agenda.

Similarly, Pavel Filip presented the stages of the central public administration reform, underlining the need to strengthen the state institutions, including an of their capacity to manage the external funds efficiently. Especially, the Prime Minister spoke about the launch of reforms in the areas of primary health care, public health and hospitals, noting that they remain of major importance to the Executive.
