OREANDA-NEWS. Early in the morning on Wednesday, September 8, a gas explosion occurred in a residential building in Noginsk, near Moscow. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the explosion, a nine-story house partially collapsed from the second to the fourth floor, at least five apartments were damaged.

According to preliminary data, two people were killed, at least five were injured, including children. Rescuers are dismantling the rubble. There may be people. Windows were broken in neighboring houses, balconies were damaged, windows of cars parked in the courtyard were broken.

The epicenter of the explosion was on the third floor. According to preliminary data, the main version of the explosion is a malfunction of the main gas equipment or a gas cylinder used for construction needs. It is also possible that the cause of the explosion was the careless handling of the gas equipment of the residents of the apartment on the third floor.
