OREANDA-NEWS A strong earthquake was recorded near the Greek island of Crete. This is evidenced by data on the website of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). 

It is specified that the tremors were recorded today, July 31, at 4:40 UTC (7:40 Moscow time). The magnitude was 5.0. The epicenter was located 16 km west of the city of Heraklion, and the center was located at a depth of 80 km.
