OREANDA-NEWS. In Israel, from June 1, almost all restrictions imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus ceased to apply. So, Israelis no longer need «green passports» certificates of vaccination or recovery after COVID-19. Restrictions on the activities of institutions are also lifted, with the exception of the requirement to wear protective masks in closed rooms.

At the same time, restrictions on entry to Israel remain in place for a number of countries, including Russia, which is currently on the «red list». The restriction is valid until June 31, and the presence of dual citizenship does not exempt from the ban on visiting countries from this list.

Currently, more than 70% of Israeli residents have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. During the pandemic, the country experienced three lockdowns of varying degrees of intensity. In total, 839.4 thousand people were infected with the coronavirus here, 6.4 thousand died.
