OREANDA-NEWS. From October 1, 2021, Argentina will open its borders to foreign tourists, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the statement of the head of the Ministry of Health of the republic, Carla Vissotti. Borders will be opened gradually. At first, citizens of neighboring countries will be allowed to visit the country, and later it is planned to remove restrictions for residents of other countries.

From October 1, foreigners will be able to visit Argentina, who will enter its territory from neighboring countries along the corridors approved by the Ministry of Health of both sides. These citizens will not need to comply with quarantine, the department said.

From November 1, all foreigners will be able to visit the country, but subject to certain conditions. In order to enter Argentina, you will need to provide either a certificate of complete vaccination, or a COVID-19 antigen test before entry directly and a PCR test on the seventh day after arrival. In this case, foreigners will need to comply with quarantine conditions between tests. La Nacion advises that those foreigners who have not received the covid-19 vaccine will need to take a PCR test 72 hours before arrival or an antigen test on entry, and a second PCR test on the fifth to seventh day after arrival.

Argentina closed its borders to foreign tourists back in March 2020. In November of the same year, it was decided to reopen them, but in December the borders were closed again. It is clarified that the country has strict restrictions on the number of Argentines and residents who can enter the country every day.
