OREANDA-NEWS  Afro-Americans in the US are jubilating. The day of the abolition of slavery in the United States has officially become a national holiday. The corresponding decree, surrounded by African Americans, was signed by the leader of the USA.

Joe Biden ordered June 19 to be a day off. There was the day in 1865 when the end of slavery was published in Texas. The state was the last of the Southern Territories to emansipate Afro-Americans. The 13th amendment to the Constitution, which was accepted in December 1865, finally did away with slavery in the USA.
