Biden Has Made June 19 a National Holiday - the Day of the Abolition of Slavery
Joe Biden ordered June 19 to be a day off. There was the day in 1865 when the end of slavery was published in Texas. The state was the last of the Southern Territories to emansipate Afro-Americans. The 13th amendment to the Constitution, which was accepted in December 1865, finally did away with slavery in the USA.
