The plane of the Bolivian leader landed on Thursday at the airport Vnukovo-2, the Russian news correspondent reports. The President was met by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, the Russian Ambassador to Bolivia Vladimir Sprinchan and the head of the Bolivian diplomatic mission in Moscow, Hugo Villaroel Senzano.

On July 11, Morales is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the Kremlin’s press service, Putin and Morales are expected to "discuss topical issues of Russian-Bolivian relations, including cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and humanitarian spheres, and exchange views on key international and regional themes". Following the upcoming talks, a number of bilateral documents will be signed.

Earlier, Bolivian Foreign Minister Diego Paris said that the number of topics that the Bolivian side wants to discuss in Moscow include cooperation with Gazprom and investments in the establishment of a nuclear research center in the South American republic. Morales was last in Russia in June 2018. Then he held talks with the Russian president and attended the opening of the World Cup.

At the same time, Russia and Bolivia are constantly looking for ways to expand bilateral cooperation. In particular, it was previously stated that the parties intend to establish direct contacts between local companies, which should contribute to an increase in trade. In addition, as reported by the Ministry of Industrialization, Sales, Transportation and Storage of Hydrocarbons of Bolivia, the two countries would like to join forces to find and implement joint projects in the field of hydrocarbons, energy, industry, science, technology and other fields.
