OREANDA-NEWS The deputy head of the British Ministry of Defense Tobias Ellwood acknowledged that the country's Navy is not in a position to ensure the interests of the state in the world. The Times writes about this.

According to the official, the world is changing, becoming more complex. If the United Kingdom intends to play a significant role in the international arena, it will be needed to increase funding for the armed forces of the country, including the royal fleet.

"Our navy is too small to safeguard our interests in the world," said Ellwood.

He added that the new prime minister of the country will increase the budget.
