OREANDA-NEWSThe British police detained two more suspected of involvement in the deaths of 39 people whose bodies were found on October 23 in a truck trailer in Essex, England. This is stated in a message distributed on Friday by the county police.

"A man and woman, both 38 years old, were detained in Warrington on suspicion of causing death and engaging in criminal conspiracy to illegally transport people across the border", police said. Earlier, in the case of the death of 39 people, whom the police consider to be Chinese citizens, a truck driver, a 25-year-old resident of Northern Ireland, was also detained.

At the moment, the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of their death are being established. As a preliminary reason, the British media called hypothermia. The temperature inside the refrigerator truck in which the bodies were found was at minus 25 degrees Celsius. Essex County Police previously reported that a truck trailer arrived in the country from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge. The bodies were discovered an hour and a half after he crossed the British border. According to investigators, the tractor itself arrived from Dublin.
