OREANDA-NEWS. Israel has started vaccination against coronavirus in children aged 5 to 11. This was reported on November 23 by the press service of the head of government.

It is noted that the nine-year-old son of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett David has undergone the procedure.

“Today we are launching a nationwide campaign to vaccinate children, primarily to protect them. Now David was vaccinated. This protects our children, our parents, and the entire State of Israel, ”the press service quoted Bennett as saying.

It is clarified that children are being vaccinated with Pfizer.

On November 14, it was reported that Israel approved a recommendation for vaccination against COVID-19 among children aged 5 to 11 years.

The campaign to vaccinate Israelis with the American drug Pfizer began on December 20, 2020. According to the local Ministry of Health, the first dose was received by 6.2 million residents of the country, the second - 5.7 million, the third - 4.1 million. At the same time, the total population in the state is 9.3 million people.

On October 28, it became known that Israel has allowed entry to tourists since November 15 after being vaccinated with "Sputnik V". You can fly exclusively to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, and upon arrival you will need to temporarily remain in quarantine.

According to the press service of the Israeli Ministry of Health, entry into the country is allowed for those foreign citizens who received two Sputnik V vaccinations no earlier than 14 days before the start of the trip and no later than six months at the end of the trip.
