OREANDA-NEWS Javelin anti-tank missile systems, portable anti-aircraft missile systems and artillery systems supplied by Western countries to Ukraine will aggravate the conflict, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said in an interview with the RBC television channel.

According to him, the listed weapons correspond in their characteristics to the Russian weapons.

He added that by now, the Russian military has already put many of the supplied weapons out of action. Borisov noted that the West mainly provides Ukraine with low-quality, outdated weapons, and Western politicians themselves have repeatedly stated this.

Earlier, the first deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, said that discussions on the likelihood of nuclear arms transfers to Ukraine were beyond reality. In his turn, Eduard Basurin, head of the People's Militia of the Donetsk People's Republic, said that barbaric shelling of Donetsk began after Western countries started supplying Ukraine with heavy weapons.
