OREANDA-NEWS. An Egyptian Air Force fighter crashed during a training flight. The pilot of the aircraft did not survive.

This was announced by the news portal Al Youm As Sabi, citing official representative of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Tamer al-Rifai. The type of the plane was not indicated. The reasons for the incident are being examined. Experts do not exclude both a technical malfunction and a pilot’s error.

This is not the first crash of military aircraft during training flights. In November 2018, the MiG-29M multirole fighter fell in Egypt, the pilot ejected. In December 2019, another airplane of the same model crashed, the pilot survived. In both cases, the army stated that the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction.
