On October 15, at the initiative of the Turkish side, a telephone conversation took place between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkey. According to the Kremlin’s press service, Vladimir Putin invited his Turkish counterpart to pay a working visit to Russia, and this invitation was accepted.

"The presidents of Russia and Turkey spoke in favor of continuing the process of political settlement in Syria and expressed their intention to facilitate the convening of the Constitutional Committee under the auspices of the UN in late October in Geneva.
