OREANDA-NEWSThe positive changes in relations between Russia and the European Union that took place last year laid the platform for minimal trust, and these opportunities must be used. This was stated on Wednesday by the head of the EU Delegation in Moscow, Markus Ederer, speaking at a session of the Gaidar Forum.

“We need to carefully comprehend a number of positive changes that took place last year: Russia returned to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), as a result of the Minsk process, we saw the success of tripartite gas negotiations”, said Ederer. “This created a platform of minimum confidence which will enable us to move on".

According to the EU ambassador, "you need to use this window of opportunity". At the same time, Ederer noted, "as diplomats say, in order to dance tango, two are needed, one alone won't work".
