OREANDA-NEWS. According to the American newspaper Newsweek, citing official information, in New York, a health worker was found to have a severe allergic reaction after being administered a coronavirus vaccine produced by the American company Pfizer.

It is reported that 30,000 vaccinations have already been made in the metropolis, and an allergic reaction has been recorded for the first time. Due to the deterioration of the condition, the medical worker required hospitalization.

As noted by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, injectable drugs can indeed have side effects, such as allergic reactions, although these are rare.

The place and time of vaccination followed by an allergic reaction is not named. The injured patient received timely assistance, and now his condition is stable.

The US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is investigating the causes of vaccine allergies from Pfizer and BioNTech. They are also going to test the Moderna drug for possible allergic reactions.

Earlier, the media wrote that two medical workers in another US state - Alaska - required medical attention after being vaccinated with BioNTech and Pfizer. One of the paramedics was hospitalized. According to media reports, his reaction to the vaccine was similar to that which was previously shown, presumably, in two health workers after being vaccinated in the UK.
