OREANDA-NEWS. Taiwan extends visa-free regime for citizens of the Russian Federation for another year. The island’s foreign ministry said this on Tuesday.

 In September 2018, the Taiwan Foreign Ministry reported that Russians could enter their island without a visa and stay there for up to fourteen days between September 6, 2018 and July 31, 2019.  Such a decision was extended to travel to relatives, for the purpose of tourism, business, participation in exhibitions.  After the expiration of the aforementioned period, it was supposed to consider whether it would be advisable to extend the visa-free regime for some time.

 In June of this year, Russia simplified the visa regime for people entering Taiwan through the port of Vladivostok.
