OREANDA-NEWSThe German Ambassador to Moscow, Geza Andreas von Geir, arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry at the moment, the Russian media correspondent reports. The diplomat proceeded to the ministry building on Smolenskaya Square, refraining from commenting for journalists.

As an informed source told the Russian media earlier, on Thursday the German ambassador will be notified in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats due to the killing of a 40-year-old Georgian citizen on August 23. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that such steps of Berlin will not go unanswered. In the Kremlin, suspicions that the Russian Federation may be related to this murder were called "absolutely groundless".

A spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, emphasized that the murder case in Berlin is not connected with the Russian state and official bodies. According to him, he resolutely rejects "any connection between this incident, this murder and official Russia".
