OREANDA-NEWS  Swedish activist Greta Thunberg criticized the environmental policy of United States President Joe Biden. She expressed her opinion in an interview with the American television channel MSNBC.

Thunberg said the US authorities are treating climate change as another political issue, and not as a problem. She believes that the administration of President Joe Biden is not doing enough to take care of the environment and is dealing with this issue more like another political problem, and not like a global crisis.

In February, it became known that the United States had officially returned to the Paris Climate Agreement. Joe Biden's government has pledged to drastically cut emissions in the coming years. The country was previously withdrawn from the Paris Agreement by the former head of state, Donald Trump.

In October 2020, Greta Thunberg urged Americans to vote for Joe Biden in the US presidential election. The 17-year-old activist stressed that she has never been involved in politics, but the upcoming US elections are "above all this."
