OREANDA-NEWS. Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov believes that Ukraine should have a well-developed scenario for the return of the "occupied" territories using all modern forms of weapons and strategies.

The Ukrainian parliament in July satisfied Avakov's resignation from the post of Minister of Internal Affairs, which he had held unchanged for the past seven years. Denis Monastyrsky became the new head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“It's strange to hear from some army generals that the General Staff is not thinking about a military scenario for the return of the occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass, territories seized by the aggressor with the use of all modern forms of weapons and strategies ", - wrote Avakov in a blog on the website of the publication" Ukrainian Truth ".

He considers, Ukraine needs to consolidate at the state level the strategy of "de-occupation and reintegration" that will refer not only to Crimea, but also to another "problematic" regions - Donetsk and Luhansk areas. "And we do not even mean a formal document, but the legally enshrined role and place of every state institution, every Ukrainian in this process. Back in 2018, such a strategy was adopted at the level of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In the process of liberating the occupied territories, all units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were clearly ready and do your part efficiently, "Avakov wrote.

In addition, the ex-minister believes that today Ukraine critically needs a National Unified Strategy for Crimea and Donbass, which should be developed by the parliament, the president and the government, in close cooperation with civil society and international partners.
