OREANDA-NEWSThe Israeli Supreme Court issued a temporary ban on the extradition of the Russian hacker Alexei Burkov to the United States. It's reported by The Jerusalem Post. The information is confirmed by the Kan radio station.

It is reported that the decision on a temporary ban was made after an appeal to the Supreme Court of the family of an Israeli woman, Naama Issahar, who was sentenced in Russia to 7.5 years for the transport of hash. Relatives of the woman asked the court to postpone the extradition of Burkov until the issue with Issakhar is settled.

Earlier, the newspaper reported that Moscow was ready to exchange Issakhar for Burkova. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as the Israeli media wrote, Jerusalem rejected such a decision. On the eve it became known that the Ministry of Justice of Israel allowed the extradition of Burkov to the United States. The Supreme Court suspended extradition and ordered the Ministry of Justice to determine the decision on Burkov until 12:00 on Sunday, November 3.
