OREANDA-NEWS. The founder of the legendary shoe brand named after him, Sergio Rossi died at the age of his 84.

A preliminary cause of death is coronavirus infection. It is suggested that he died from complications of the disease. Other details are not reported. According to WWD journal, Rossi was hospitalized a few days ago in the city of Cesena located in northern Italy. It is the part of the country where the largest number of cases of COVID-19 infection has been recorded.

Sergio Rossi was known for his collections of premium women’s shoes. He founded his company in 1951. Later, he also collaborated with fashion houses Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Azzedine Alaia.
