OREANDA-NEWS. During a meeting of the expert committee, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga officially announced the complete withdrawal of the coronavirus emergency regime that was in force until September 30.

Currently, the emergency regime operates in 19 out of 47 prefectures: Hokkaido, Gifu, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Shizuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Fukuoka, Okinawa ... In another 8 prefectures, there is a regime of enhanced measures to combat coronavirus, which implies softer restrictions.

In almost all prefectures, the number of infections, the burden on medical facilities, the number of severe cases have dropped to a level that allows the restrictions to be lifted after September 30.

It is assumed that, despite the abolition of the emergency regime, mitigations will be introduced gradually. Initially, during the first month, it will be allowed to increase the limit on the maximum number of people present at major events from no more than 5 thousand people, or 50% of the total number of spectators, to 10 thousand, or 50% of the total number of spectators. In addition, those establishments that have passed the confirmation procedure regarding measures to prevent the spread of the virus will be allowed to continue working until 9 pm. Now restaurants, bars and cafes close at eight in the evening.
