OREANDA-NEWSThe second wave of the spread of coronavirus in Japan will occur in any case, but the authorities will do everything necessary to ensure that the scale of this wave is small. This was announced on Thursday by Minister for Economic Recovery Yasutoshi Nishimura.

"The second wave will certainly happen. But it is important to do everything so that the size of this wave is small", the Japanese news agency quoted him as saying. The Minister also stressed that the country's authorities will do everything necessary for this. Nishimura noted that the government and relevant departments will closely monitor the dynamics of the spread of the new coronavirus in those regions where the emergency regime was lifted.

The regime will continue to operate in the northern prefecture of Hokkaido, Tokyo and its neighboring prefectures Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama, which form the so-called Greater Tokyo zone. There, it hasn't always been possible to achieve targets for reducing the number of infected people.
