OREANDA-NEWS. After the end of hostilities in the Donbass, the Russian Federation should pay reparations to Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Krikliy. "Let them return the territory to us first, then the aggressor country pays reparations, and then we will talk about how we will invest and renew this region", he said on the air of the Ukrainian television channel.

At the same time, the minister called unacceptable the collection of funds from citizens of Ukraine for the restoration of uncontrolled territories. “For the time being, we can talk about restoring the controlled part of the Donbass region. Regarding whether the Ukrainians will pay for it - for the uncontrolled territory, then of course not”, he said.

However, Krikli didn't name the possible costs of the future restoration of uncontrolled territories. "There is no access to it, and before developing a recovery plan, it will be necessary to conduct an audit and audit", the minister concluded.

Earlier in October, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Sergey Trofimov estimated the cost of restoring the territory of the Donbass controlled by Kiev at € 372 million, which is exactly what, according to him, will be required for the reconstruction of transport infrastructure, industrial and residential buildings.
