OREANDA-NEWSThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has prepared a response to the decision of Moscow to simplify the issuance of Russian passports to all residents of Donbass. This is stated in the message on the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has already prepared for the consideration of the National Security and Defense Council a list of measures to protect national security, the legal rights and interests of citizens, the message says.

According to the report, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine considers the decision of Russia on Donbass as undisguised interference in the internal affairs of the country, which is “a serious security threat on the entire European continent”. The ministry stressed that the decrees of the Kremlin on "certification" will not be recognized by the Ukrainian side. Diplomats demanded that Moscow “stop torpedoing peaceful efforts” and in the shortest possible time cancel all decisions on this issue.

Earlier, on July 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which Ukrainians who previously lived in any region of the Luhansk or Donetsk regions of Ukraine can apply for Russian citizenship in a simplified manner. In April, only those living in the territories of the self-proclaimed DPR and LC received this opportunity.

In addition, Klimkin said that the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is preparing to strengthen political and sanctions pressure on Russia and the restrictions may affect "the people and companies that form the basis of the Kremlin regime". These materials aren't the only information that Kiev secrets. The Ukrainian Navy leadership refused to disclose the details of the passage of warships through the Kerch Strait at the end of November 2018, citing the provisions of the same Code of Statements.
