OREANDA-NEWS. The head of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, announced the transfer of a peacekeeping company of the Belarusian army to the territory of Kazakhstan within the framework of assistance from the CSTO member states.

“We agreed that we must deal with the peacekeeping mission and help people. Therefore, troops are being transferred there by echelons from Moscow, our guys will fly there from Minsk. Our company is peacekeeping, the one that should work in such conditions, ”Lukashenka noted.

According to him, the Russian side will provide aircraft for the transport of peacekeepers and equipment of the Belarusian army. The head of the country stated about the sufficient level of training of Belarusian specialists.

Earlier, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov called on the deputies not to interfere with the sending of Kyrgyz servicemen to Kazakhstan as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces.

On January 5, against the background of pogroms in Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev appealed to the heads of the CSTO states with a request for assistance.
