OREANDA-NEWS  According to the court's decision, Evsyukov was able to prove that his colony was too far from his parents' house, which undermines the convict's family ties. Denis Yevsyukov's parents acted as co-applicants, pointing out in the lawsuit that they could hardly visit the “Polar Owl” colony in the village of Kharp, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

The distance from the village to Moscow, where the Evsyukov family lives, is 3,360 km.

The representative of the victims in the Evsyukov case, Igor Trunov, said that he would seek the distribution of compensation in favor of his principals. According to him, Evsyukov must pay Ilya Gerasimenko almost 370 thousand rubles, and Louisa Salikhova - more than 277 thousand rubles. This is compensation for the treatment of his injuries, which Evsyukov has not yet paid.

In 2009, police major Denis Yevsyukov opened fire at the “Ostrov” supermarket in Moscow, killing two people and wounding seven. In 2010, the court sentenced the former head of the “Tsaritsyno” police station to life in prison. He was sent to the “Polar Owl” colony, although his parents asked to transfer his son closer to Moscow.

In 2016, the ECHR awarded 12 thousand euros to the three victims in the Evsyukov case. The court found that the Russian authorities violated the rights of citizens to life, because they did not assess the personality of Yevsyukov when hiring and appointing to leadership positions.
