OREANDA-NEWS It turned out that it was asteroids that could make the Earth inhabited by those substances that they carried on themselves. The first of these is selenium itself. Its analysis showed that it flew to the planet from distant parts of the solar system, more precisely - from Jupiter and Saturn. 

Asteroids also carried a lot of water in different states and some volatile compounds. As a result, they formed not only the atmosphere of the planet, but also the oceans.

Scientists note that it is impossible to create such huge volumes of water in another way, especially if you do not forget the fact that at the time of their appearance the Earth was still at the stage of its formation, therefore its surface was very hot and the liquid evaporated.
