OREANDA-NEWS. A fire broke out near the train station Gare de Lyon in the southeast of Paris. The police evacuated people from the territory.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in on Bersy Boulevard. In particular, cars parked near the station were engulfed in flames. There is no information on the dead and injured.

Le Figaro newspaper, citing a statement from the prefecture’s police, reported that the demonstrators could set fire. They protested against holding a concert of Congolese singer Fally Ipupa in the Bercy neighborhood. The artist is an opponent of the incumbent President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Felix Tshisekedi. Ipupa was afraid of attacks and because of this did not perform in the French capital for the past ten years.

The police published a video showing that a crowd of protesters gathered near the building of Gare de Lyon.
