OREANDA-NEWS. A crowd of opponents of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan broke into a government building in the center of Yerevan. This was reported by a RIA Novosti correspondent.

There are offices of several ministries. Oppositionists held a rally in the lobby on the ground floor, urging officials of the departments not to participate in the rally of Pashinyan's supporters. Having shouted slogans demanding the resignation of the head of the Cabinet, they left the building.

"We are completing our action. Our goal was to show that we can enter any ministry," said one of the participants.

Regular protests took place in Yerevan after Pashinyan's careless words about the Russian Iskander. He stated that the equipment supplied was defective.

According to media reports, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Armenia ridiculed the Prime Minister, for which Pashinyan dismissed him. He also prepared a decree on the resignation of the head of the General Staff Onik Gasparyan, but President Armen Sarkissian refused to sign it. The Prime Minister sent a second appeal to the presidential administration. The ruling parliamentary faction "My Step" has threatened Sargsyan with impeachment.

The Armenian armed forces, in response, demanded the departure of Pashinyan himself. The head of the Cabinet regarded this as an attempted coup and called on his supporters to take to the streets. Meanwhile, the oppositionists have erected barricades and pitched a camp near the parliament, they are not in the mood for negotiations with the authorities and are demanding the resignation of the prime minister.
