OREANDA-NEWS President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the military situation in the country. The document was published on the website of the President of Ukraine. Martial law is proposed to enter until January 25, 2019.

"To put into effect the decision of the national security and defense Council of Ukraine of November 26, 2018 "on emergency measures to ensure state sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine", — stated in the decree.

The recommendation to introduce martial law for 60 days was given to the President by the National Security Council (NSDC). The decision of the National Security Council on martial law after the signature of the President must still support the Ukrainian Parliament.

The draft law on the introduction of martial law has already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, according to the database of the Ukrainian Parliament. It follows from the explanatory note that the aim of the project is "to create legal conditions for repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and for ensuring national security".

On the basis of this document, the President will be able to give various instructions to the state bodies-to impose the development of additional bills, to accelerate the supply of arms and to allocate funding for these purposes, to prepare objects of civil and military protection, etc.

Last Sunday, the border Department of the FSB in the Crimea reported the detention of three warships of Ukraine. Boats "Berdyansk" and "Nikopol", as well as the tugboat "Yana Kapu" were detained while trying to cross the border of the territorial sea of Russia.

The secret service said that the schedule of passage of ships they were not included. In addition, the ships dangerously maneuvered and did not comply with the requirements of the Russian authorities, which is why they were opened fire, said the FSB. The detained ships were delivered to the port of Kerch.
