OREANDA-NEWSFormer first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of the krai Oleg Gladkovsky, close to ex-president Petro Poroshenko, for whom a security deposit of 10.6 million hryvnias ($ 424 thousand at the current rate) was made, after necessary legal procedures he will leave the Kiev detention center. This was reported on Monday by the Ukrainian television channel with reference to the lawyer of Gladkovsky Ruslan Volynets.

"The lawyer said that a bail (10.6 million hryvnia) has already been made and now certain procedures are being carried out related to the release of a suspect on bail", the channel said. According to the lawyer, his client may be released in the coming hours or tomorrow.

Gladkovsky was detained on October 17 while trying to leave Ukraine. He is a defendant in a journalistic investigation into the Our Pennies program, which claims that the ex-official was a member of a theft scheme in a defense complex. The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine arrested Gladkovsky on October 19 for two months with the possibility of making a bail.
